CRA Clad Pipe for Oil & Gas

Corrosion-resistant alloy protection for sour service, subsea, and long-distance transmission — at 30–50% lower cost than solid Inconel pipe.

The Challenge

Crude oil and natural gas contain sulfur, acid, and CO₂ that cause corrosion rates exceeding 1 mm/year in carbon steel. Sour service environments with H₂S accelerate pitting and stress corrosion cracking. Traditional stainless steel pipes are prohibitively expensive for long-distance pipelines and large diameters.

The ZONX Solution

DURACORE CRA clad pipe combines carbon steel strength (X60, X70) with corrosion-resistant alloy liners (316L, Inconel 825, Inconel 625) at 30–50% lower cost than solid alloy pipes. API 5LD certified. RSP™ metallurgical bonding ensures the liner stays bonded through welding, bending, and thermal cycling.

Temperature -20 ~ 120°C
Pressure 5 – 16 MPa
Media H₂S, CO₂, crude oil, natural gas
CRA Grades 316L / 825 / 625

Typical Applications

  • LNG export terminal, Southeast Asia — 28" DURACORE, 50 km subsea
  • Sour gas transmission in H₂S environments
  • Offshore platform and subsea piping
  • CO₂ injection and sequestration pipelines
